East Lincoln Fire ran a total of 1,311 calls for service for the year 2014. 1,044 Fire related calls and 267 EMS calls. July was the busiest month while December being the slowest.

Structure Fire
Thursday, December 11, 2014 13:56
On Thursday November 11th C shift responded to a reported structure fire near the 1400 block of NC 16. Engine 35 and 33 arrived within minutes to find a appliance in the home on fire. C shift made a quick knock down with no extension to the structure. Alexis and Lucia Riverbend responded but were cancelled. Control time was called within 3 minutes upon arrival.

Surface Swift Water Rescue Training
Thursday, November 13, 2014 
On Thursday November 13th thru Sunday November 16th 6 members of the fire department took part in Cleveland County's Fire Rescue College. The Technical Rescuer Surface/Swift Water Rescue Training took place on Moss lake in Shelby as well as Bridgewater Hydro release in Glen Alpine NC. Teams went over various parts of Static water rescues and Swift water rescues during the weekend. Teams also dealt with wind, water temps around 49 degrees and temps as low as 21 degrees on Saturday morning. The college also hosted over 900 students combined for the largest school in there history.

Fire Prevention
Tuesday, September 23, 2014 
On Tuesday A shift visited Unity Preschool for some fire prevention and of course the big red truck. A big thanks to Unity for the goodies.

Trouble on the Water
On June 21, 22 and 29 East Lincoln responded to three different water emergencies. The first involved two jet skis. One jet skis ran into the rear of the other skis. One patient was transport after stabilization was done on the water with various agencies. Second was a water craft taking on water and a electrical fire on another boat. Both boats were safely removed from the water without further incident.

Traffic Accident
Monday, June 30, 2014 
Engine 30 responded to a vehicle off the roadway. Arrived to find a single car off the road with no injuries.

Electrical Hazards
Thursday, June 19, 2014 22:22
Just before 10:30 EL3FD was dispatched to an large outside fire. Engine 30, Brush 36 and Engine 33 all responded. The call was in the area of St. Andrews Lane and Club drive. Engine 30 arrived in the area along with brush 36 finding nothing. Engine 33 took St Andrews Lane to find power arching on tall cedars which in turn ignited a tree sending flames 25 feet in the air. Units used water to disperse the remaining fire using short burst and a fog pattern.

29- Traffic Accident
Thursday, June 19, 2014 
On Thursday June 19th Engine 33 and 30 responded to a vehicle off the road way on S NC Hwy 16 at approximately 0800 hours. 33 and 30 arrived to find one vehicle off the roadway with one patient. The vehicle was traveling north and left the road via the south bound lanes and across a very deep ditch where it came to rest. Patient was not seriously hurt and was transport by ambulance to nearest hospital
