Structure Fire

Engine 33 and Engine 35 arrived on scene to find a single story residential structure with fire venting through the roof on A/D corner. Crews stretched both 1.75" hoselines off of Engine 33 and fought the fire interior and exterior. FF noles and FF Mason made entry into structure by forcing the front door and conducted a primary search upon advancing the hoseline. FF Rendleman and Captain Bishop extinguised the flames on the exterior and also the storage shed next to the house had to be extinguished and overhauled. Interior crew reported medium smoke inside of structure but did not see any fire until they reached the bedroom on the A/D corner in which the fire was above them in the attic space. Once the ceiling was pulled in the bedroom they began to extinguish the fire. The entire roof over the bedroom was burned off and partially collapsed onto the floor. Lucia Riverbend and Alexis assisted with overhaul and removing portions of the roof to check for extension in the attic. Once all hotspots were extinguised the Fire Marshall conducted his investigation and crews applied a tarp over the exposed roof to help secure from the weather. An occupant from the home arrived on scene and premises were turned over to her and all units cleared back into service.

Engine 33 and Engine 35 were dispatched to an explosion and arrived on scene to find a fully involved mobile home structure. Engine 33 deployed two 1.75" handlines and started extinguishing fire from exterior due to how advanced the fire was and floor structure had been compromised. Crews did a visual search from the exterior once the fire was under control to confirm that nobody was inside. Overhaul was performed to extinguish hotspots and enable investigation by fire marshall. Once investigation was complete fire marshall instructed crews to make sure all fire was out and rope off area and clear the scene.
