Traffic Accident

Engine 30 responded to a vehicle off the roadway. Arrived to find a single car off the road with no injuries.

 
   
   
Trouble on the Water
On June 21, 22 and 29 East Lincoln responded to three different water emergencies. The first involved two jet skis. One jet skis ran into the rear of the other skis. One patient was transport after stabilization was done on the water with various agencies. Second was a water craft taking on water and a electrical fire on another boat. Both boats were safely removed from the water without further incident.

 
   
   
Electrical Hazards

Just before 10:30 EL3FD was dispatched to an large outside fire. Engine 30, Brush 36 and Engine 33 all responded. The call was in the area of St. Andrews Lane and Club drive. Engine 30 arrived in the area along with brush 36 finding nothing. Engine 33 took St Andrews Lane to find power arching on tall cedars which in turn ignited a tree sending flames 25 feet in the air. Units used water to disperse the remaining fire using short burst and a fog pattern.

 
   
   
29- Traffic Accident

On Thursday June 19th Engine 33 and 30 responded to a vehicle off the road way on S NC Hwy 16 at approximately 0800 hours. 33 and 30 arrived to find one vehicle off the roadway with one patient. The vehicle was traveling north and left the road via the south bound lanes and across a very deep ditch where it came to rest. Patient was not seriously hurt and was transport by ambulance to nearest hospital

 
   
   
Catawba Springs Water Day

East Lincoln was asked by Catawba Springs Elementary School to participate in their Water day activities. So East Lincoln B shift crews gladly accepted by bringing ladder 31 and making it rain and getting everyone fully soaked.

 
TR Ropes Class
Friday, May 23, 2014

On May the 22 and 23 East Lincoln held its last class with TR Ropes Victim Management. Crews worked Thursday on setting up a high line and retrieving a patient from a storm drain. On Friday crews set up on the Denver water tower for Lowers and raises of Victims along with rappelling down.

 
   
   
Traffic Accident

Traffic accident involving one vehicle off the roadway on Old Plank road. Engine 30 and 33 arrived to find one vehicle in the front yard of a resident resting up against a telephone pole. Crews assessed one patient that had self extricated from vehicle while other crew members assessed telephone pole that would be require to be replaced.

 
   
   
Hose testing

For the next couple weeks all shifts will be in the process of our annual hose testing. Then hydrant testing will begin and continue till complete so be aware of crews out on the roads testing these hydrants for their safety.

 
   
   
TR Series Lower and Raises

East Lincoln continued it's TR series with Lowers and Raises training at the old R&L Plant in Denver. Crews setup rope systems to lower and raise patients over a wall.

 
   
   
Motor Vehicle Accident

Two car MVA with no injuries. Engine 30 responded routine traffic to apply absorbent to leaking antifreeze and cut battery power to car still running.
