TR Rope Anchors and Mechanical Advantages

On April 1,2 and 4 East Lincoln hosted another session of TR Ropes training classes. Anchors and Mechanical advantages were used in different ways to simulate ways to remove patients from different situations.

Weekend EMT Con-Ed
Saturday, March 29, 2014 
East Lincoln hosted a weekend long 24 hour Con-Ed class for it's members and other departments. The trial class was received with overwhelming support with a few modifications to come for the next year.

Motor Vehicle Accident

At 00:04 B shift was dispatched to a possible traffic accident on Killian Farm Road in the vicinity of Otts Circle. Engine 30 arrived to find a single vehicle into a tree. Upon investigation the patient had left the scene and was found later at home. Units cleared the scene and were back in service at 00:30

Outside Fire

As the night continues so does the calls. Outside fire reported in the area of Westport Marina. Units arrived in the area to find the fire a couple streets over that was contained by the owner in the back yard.

Busy Day
Saturday, March 15, 2014 
"A" shift started off with cleaning the boat to get it ready for the water. As the day went along it got a little busy. Just a few pictures from todays three outside fires, 1 fire alarm and 1 medical so far.

Vehicle Fire

B shift was dispatched to a vehicle fire during shift change with A shift. Fire companies arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a small pickup truck. Engine 30 make a quick knock down and completed extinguishment without further incident.

On Saturday March 8th East Lincoln Fire Department supported "Our Family". Senior firefighter Cody Mason's mother was chosen as one of the Honorary Guests at the Annual Andy Kosmala Memorial Soccer Tournament. We were invited by Cody and "mama Mason" to show our support for our friend. Cancer is a nasty disease and supporting your friends is a necessity.

MVA at the intersection of Hwy 16 and 73. Total of 5 patients were transported with non-life threating injuires

Saturday, March 8, 2014
MVA involving two cars with heavy front and rear end damage. Total of three patients all transported with non-life threatening injuries.

Fire Prevention
Monday, March 3, 2014 10:00
On Monday March 3rd A shift crew visited The Learning Express on Pilot Knob Road for some Fire Prevention and to show the kids the fire truck.
